Library Borrowing Policies
Books: 3 books for a period of 2 weeks.
These books can be renewed twice unless the books is on a waiting list.
Videos/DVD's: 3 dvds for two days not counting Sunday, checkout day, or check in day.
Audios: 2 weeks
Magazines: 2 weeks
Paperback books: no limit
Fines for overdue books are five cents per day. Lost books must be replaced. If a family member has an overdue or lost book, other family members may be denied use of the library (including computer) until retribution has been made. Overdue DVD fine will be $5.00.
.25 per sheet will be charge for copy machine. Fax will be $1.00 per sheet, .25 for printed text. $1.00 for colored picture. $20.00 over bank charge fee - A list of people whose checks have been returned shall be kept. Cash only for those people whose names are listed on the returned checks list. No library privileges until check has been redeemed.
Internet Access Policy
In response to advances in technology and the changing needs of the community. Dulany Memorial Library endeavors to develop collections, resources, and services that meet the cultural, informational, recreational, and educational needs of our community. It is within this context that the Dulany Memorial Library offers access to the Internet. This library does not monitor and has no control over the information accessed through the Internet and cannot be held responsible for its content. The Internet is a world wide community with a highly diverse user population and it is your responsibility to use this resource wisely. Internet resources accessible through the Library are provided equally to all library users. Parents or guardians, not the library or its staff, are responsible for the Internet information selected and/or accessed by their children. A parent or guardian must be with a child under the age of 18 unless they are using one of the two computers with filters. Although the library staff will be glad to assist you in accessing the Internet, they can not provide in-depth training concerning Internet computer jargon, search strategies or personal computer use. Because of library scheduling, Internet-trained staff may not always be available. Have fun exploring the Internet, but please remember that many times you will find the specific information you need right here...in books and periodicals.
The upstair conference room is open to all non-profit organizations at no charge.
The basement meeting room rents for $40.00 per event or day by appointment.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed inside or outside of the building. Renters are responsible for clean up and securing the building. They must be out by midnight. Teenage parties must have responsible parents, or sponsors of at least 21 years of age. No cooking is allowed in basement for resale.

Please take care of the tapes and books. Do not remove covers or damage barcode labels
If you need more time, please email or call the library to extend your loan
